In fact, it is fairly difficult to
find a western restaurant serving a selection of pork in the menu for some
reasons, as opposed to what the restaurants in the United States can offer, the
food serves in most chain restaurants can no longer satisfy my appetite and so
I start searching for better options.
I have been passing by this
particular German bistro in Puchong several times. So there was this one day, I
decided to go in and give it a try. It was a good experience, despite of the
not so good friendly servers; I actually return to the bistro a few times for
the chief recommended pork knuckle, pork chop and sausages, each at a time.
Stadt’s menu is fairly extensive with
variety of selections from pork, chicken, lamb, pasta, sausages and not
forgetting beer, of course.
I have to say the pork knuckle is
good. The skin is crispy, yet the meat is juicy and tender on the inside, not overdone.
The pork chop is not bad, either, and it is reasonably priced at about RM 22.90. You might want to give these a try if you
haven’t. I did not take any photos on these
but here are some from Stadt’s website.
I went there again yesterday for
dinner and I had no pork this time, but lamb boneless meat, which is braised
lamb, just without bone. Again, the chief didn’t disappoint me this time, the
braised lamb is tender, but it could be better if it was braised slightly
longer. It still tastes a little gamy but I don’t mind at all as I like it.
If you are considering to pay a visit to this bistro and not sure what you want to have, go for the pork. After all, that's why you would go to a German bistro, isn't it?
