I always crave Tim Ho Wan's dim sum since I had it the first time during my trip to Hong Kong, which is one of the Michelin One-Star restaurants available in the region.

It was a great opportunity to hop to their branch in Singapore during my trip. There is always a long queue at the door, but we actually went there at odd hour so that we don't have to wait for too long. The interior design and table arrangement is similar to those in Hong Kong, space is tight and table is small, so I tried not to order so much at once.

Baked bun with BBQ pork, vermicelli roll stuffed with pig's liver, pan fried turnip cake and steamed egg cake are the big 4 dim sum in Tim Ho Wan. I've tried both 2 of them in Hong Kong and they were lovely.

The legendary baked bun with BBQ pork is one of the best sellers. The bun is crispy on the outside and soft in the inside, the BBQ pork filling is flavourful and juicy. It smelled and tasted so great that I wished I could have more.

The sticky rice in lotus leaf was very aromatic.

The steamed dim sum like prawn dumpling and siew mai were very nice. The ingredient was very fresh, the seasoning was done light but right. Unlike in Malaysia, there isn't any sweet dipping sauce or chilli given. In fact, that is the right way of eating dim sum as the chef would have served the dipping sauce if it's meant to eat with it. So, never ask for one.

Lastly, Tonic Medlar and Osmanthus cake, the never-missed dessert.

I was too busy eating and didn't manage to take all the photos. Overall, the taste is still good, somehow I find it better in HK. It is never cheap eating dim sum in Singapore, the price is comparable to many local dim sum restaurants but it is slightly more expensive than that in HK if I remember correctly.

I left happily with very full stomach.
